The First Issue: December 2026

Volume 1, Issue 1 has two deadlines, both 11:59 p.m. Eastern. Final Word files and publication fees are due December 8, 2026 for both.

  • Standard review: November 1, 2026. The usual timeline. A paper submitted and paid on the deadline gets its screening decision by November 4, its review decision by November 18, revisions (if requested) due November 28, and the editor's response by December 3.
  • Expedited review ($75): November 15, 2026. A faster timeline: screening within 3 days, a review decision within 7 days, revisions due 7 days after the decision, and the editor's response within 3 days. A paper submitted and paid on November 15 gets its review decision by November 25, revisions due December 2, and the editor's response by December 5.

Papers submitted without expedited review after November 1, 2026 are considered for Volume 1, Issue 2 (February 2027).

Publishing on Time

Paying a fee never guarantees publication, or publication in a particular issue. Your paper is considered for the issue whose deadline you submit by, and is published in that issue only if it is accepted after no more than one round of revisions and you meet every deadline we give you: the submission fee (and any parent or guardian consent) by the submission deadline, a revision that makes every required change by its due date, and the final Word file and publication fee by the final-file deadline. Our own screening, review and decision times are set so that, when all of this happens, the paper fits in the issue. Otherwise it moves to a later issue, and no fee is refunded.

How a Paper Is Assigned to an Issue

Your paper is considered for the first issue whose deadline you submit by. One round of revisions fits each cycle. If a second round of revisions is needed, or if revisions, the final file or the publication fee arrive late, the paper moves to the next issue and we email you.

How Revisions Work

  • Every paper gets one round of revisions. The decision email lists every required change, numbered, under “Specific changes requested” in the reviewer report.
  • Your revision must make every required change. Your response letter answers each one by its number and says exactly where in the paper the change was made.
  • If you believe a requested change is wrong, say so in your response letter, with your reasons. The editor decides whether your explanation is accepted.
  • The editor checks the revision against the numbered list. If any required change is missing or incomplete, the paper isn’t accepted in that round: the editor either asks for a second round of revisions, which moves the paper to the next issue, or rejects it.
  • Whether a revision makes the required changes is the editor’s decision, and it is final.

An accepted paper can move to a later issue only once because its publication fee or final file was late. If they still haven’t arrived by that issue’s deadline, the acceptance lapses and the paper is withdrawn. Fees already paid are not refunded, and sending the paper again means a new submission with a new submission fee.

We publish only in issues; there is no online-first publication. Issue size depends on how many papers meet our standards, never on a quota.
